The Annual Plant Sale on the Village Green in Leland is on tap for Memorial Day Weekend! Don’t miss your chance to purchase native ferns, trillium and more native wildflowers that have been saved from construction sites across Leelanau County. The Wildflower Sale begins Friday, May 28 and runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Plants will not be available for pre-sale. We request that all attendees wear a mask and practice social distancing. Space may be limited. All proceeds help maintain the Village Green and assist with other Conservancy projects. Our partner Four Seasons Nursery will not have plants available at the Village Green this year; however, they will have native plants for sale at their nursery and will donate a portion of Memorial Day weekend sales to the Leelanau Conservancy.
The Wildflower Rescue Committee continually seeks new sites on which to dig. If you are building a home, driveway, addition, or know of someone who is, please contact us so volunteers may have a chance to remove these precious wildflowers before the excavators arrive!
