Join Executive Director Tom Nelson as he leads a winter hike on the proposed 350-acre addition to the Palmer Woods Forest Reserve through evergreens and a beautiful hardwood forested area. The hike will be approximately one mile, with a resting spot halfway with incredible views of the forest for those that would rather not go down and up a moderately steep hill. We will be walking on a lightly-groomed trail and recommend good boots. Feel free to bring hiking sticks or snowshoes if you desire. We will meet on S Wheeler Rd between M22 (W Harbor Hwy) and W Darwin Rd, about 2 miles north of the Palmer Woods parking area on S Wheeler Rd. Look for staff and signs, and we will park along the side of the road. The hike will last about an hour and a half.
