Winter Hike at Kehl Lake Natural Area

Join docents Marsha Buehler, Bert Thomas, and Peter Wolcott for a winter walk along the meandering trail of the Kehl Lake Natural Area. The never-logged woods provide shelter from bitter winds, and we’ll understand why the area was appealing to both Anishinaabeg peoples and European settlers. We’ll talk about how each of us connects with nature and the landscape through our points of view/perspective/senses, compared to how photographers and artists may try to capture the same scenes. The trail is a fairly level walk, but may be snowy and icy, so please be prepared.
