Emma joined our Fund Development team in 2023 as Major Gifts Officer. The Leelanau County’s tight knit community, their warm welcome, as well as the inspiring mission and work of the Leelanau Conservancy convinced her to leave her native France and call Leelanau County home in 2014. She is thrilled to join our efforts in conserving the beauty and uniqueness of our peninsula and serving its community. In her role as a Major Gifts Officer, she will work to secure and steward major gifts as well as manage the efforts of our Richard O. Ristine Heritage Society.
Emma is bringing strong client-relation building experience to her new position. She most recently co-founded and managed Nature – A Michigan Retreat, consistently keeping community and environment at the center of her decisions. Previously, Emma planned and managed large-scale corporate events in the French Riviera. Emma holds a Master’s Degree with a specialization in sustainable tourism. Her love and passion for Earth and the environment let her to study permaculture design.
Emma loves traveling, backpacking, nature sports, and learning about homesteading, natural health, and the many cultures around the world. She enjoys hiking, gardening, cooking, knitting, playing the flute and dancing with her two young daughters.
