Chad brings a wealth of professional experience and knowledge of trail building and maintenance, community outreach, and project management. He has served as Trail Ambassador for Traverse Area Recreation and Transportation Trail (TART) and president of the Northern Michigan Mountain Bike Association (NMMBA) since 2016. A former licensed homebuilder, Chad also has a depth of experience in managing sub-contractors and construction crews. As important, he has been instrumental over the past 3 years as a Conservancy volunteer helping us choose trail builders and leading a dedicated group of volunteers for trail maintenance at Palmer Woods.
Chad earned a BS in Building and Construction Management from Michigan State University. He enjoys hiking, paddling, swimming, biking, and all forms of outdoor activities and lives in Suttons Bay with his wife, Heather, and son, Max.
