Bill and his wife, Rita, retired to Glen Lake in 2013 where Bill has served as president of the Glen Lake Association, chairman of the Emergency Services Advisory Commission for the Glen Lake Fire Department, a director of the Citizens’ Council for the Sleeping Bear Dunes Area and a member of the Farmland Committee of the Leelanau Conservancy. A native of Webster Groves, MO, Bill first came to Glen Lake in 1951 and is dedicated to preserving our water quality and quality of life for future generations. Bill received a B.S. from Miami University of Ohio and MBA from the University of Michigan. Bill’s career as a commercial banker covered 38 years including 36 with PNC Financial Services and its predecessors, National City Bank and First of America Bank. Bill served in leadership roles in corporate banking and was a director on the boards of nine banks and various community organizations including Junior Achievement, Hospice and Focus St Louis.
