Allison is a passionate storyteller with a deep love for nature, often found in the woods with a notebook in one hand and a camera in the other. She joined the Leelanau Conservancy in June 2025 as the Communications Specialist, bringing with her 13 years of experience in journalism.
A graduate of Michigan State University, Allison began her career as a reporter for daily and weekly newspapers in South Dakota and Northern California, later managing two weeklies in Southern California.
