We’re creating a short community-driven film celebrating the people, places, and
experiences that make this peninsula special, and we want to include real moments
from the people who know and love it best.
Whether it’s swimming, walking, surfing, farming, picking berries, paddling, biking,
birdwatching, or simply spending time outdoors with loved ones or with yourself,
we want to see what Leelanau means to you.
This does not need to be professional footage. Cell phone videos, old home
movies, drone footage, DIY animations, camcorder footage, and professionally shot
footage are all welcome. The deadline for submission is Aug. 31, 2026.
Selected clips featured in the final film will receive end-credit recognition.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
– Clips should generally be 3–15 seconds long.
– Horizontal footage is preferred.
– Avoid copyrighted music if possible.
– Authentic, real moments are encouraged over staged content.
– All seasons, activities, languages, ages, bodies, and abilities are welcome.
– By submitting footage, contributors agree to allow it to be cut and used in promotional materials by the Leelanau Conservancy.
