Join us as we explore Whaleback – a lovely spot just South of Leland. A quarter of a mile uphill hike leads to a serene spot on the top of Whaleback. Along with native trees and plants there are a number of invasives or adventives. We’ll also take note of diseased beech trees and see the trees planted this year. It is an area in transition.
Note: The trail is challenging as it is full of roots on the uphill climb. Wear practical shoes and bring water.
