Think Like a Bear at Kehl Lake

Saturday, October 3rd | 10:00am

Can you think like a bear?

Become a member of Kehl Lake’s non-human residential community and have lots of fun discovering tidbits about this amazing place. You will temporarily withhold your human thinking as you share your life experiences with a new identity, living in this diverse ecosystem.

With the magic of the forest, you will be granted the option of communicating as if you were a human. Ask lots of dig-deeper questions, make some astute observations, and witness how the residents deal with unanticipated happenings.

Kehl Lake Natural Area has been designated as a national Old-Growth Forest, featuring century-old hemlocks and towering old-growth white pines surrounding the pristine lake shoreline … all of which host an awesome diversity of life forms. You will be grateful that this natural area has been saved for all beings, in perpetuity.

Join Conservancy Docents Ann McInnis and Greg Nobles along with docents-in-training Ruth Bombaugh and Marianne Jackson for a fun, educational, and inspirational hike.
