Fall For Leelanau

Super Moon Paddle with Special Guest Tera John on Lake Leelanau to the mouth of the Cedar River

Thursday, October 17th | 6:00pm

Join us for a magical evening paddle with special guest Tera John, Indigenous Knowledge Keeper and Grand Traverse Band’s Food Sovereignty Coordinator, as we explore Lake Leelanau and the Cedar River Preserve under the light of the rising super moon.

This serene 4.5-mile paddle will include 1 mile of open lake water before reaching the river mouth. We’ll stick close to shore and paddle together at a moderate pace.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to glimpse the unique beauty of Anishinaabe values surrounding our areas waters, and to experience the beauty of the Cedar River Preserve by moonlight.

Important Information:

  • Canoes and kayaks only (no SUPs).
  • All participants must wear a life vest (PFD) throughout the paddle.
