Join Conservancy staff on Tuesday, Oct. 20, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. as we build new trails at Sugar Loaf Scenic Area!
This work is considered difficult due to the heavy physical labor required to build a new trail from scratch.
Scope of work: We will use hand tools to dig, shape, and groom a new trail that bypasses an existing “fall-line” unsustainable four seasons trail.
All tools will be provided by the Conservancy. Volunteers are recommended to bring their own gloves, safety glasses, water, sun protection and wear long pants and closed-toe shoes.
- Details of meeting place, parking, etc. will be shared with registered volunteers prior to each work session via email.
- Work sessions are open to new and current volunteers; however, sessions are not recommended for minors. Age 16 and above accepted with a parent/guardian in attendance with them.
- Please note: All volunteers must register in advance, complete this volunteer questionnaire and sign this waiver prior to participating.
