Join Leelanau Conservancy Stewardship staff and Northwest Michigan Invasive Species Network (ISN) staff for a planting workbee at DeYoung Natural Area!
With a grant from the U.S. Forest Service, and in partnership with ISN, we’ll create a seed plot to source restoration needs. We’ll plant native species plugs (small, young starter plants) into rows and water them in to grow.
The workbee will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. (leave when you need to!), rain or shine. Park at the farmstead parking lot on the south side of the farmhouse.
Tools: Bring your gloves, water, sunhat, and a preferred planting trowel (if you have one). LC and ISN will also provide tools.
