Nature’s Quirks, Curiosities and Conversations

As we will learn, Nature is full of surprises.  Our initial mid-week guided hike for the season will start in the parking lot of Houdek Dunes Natural Area at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 15th.  Docents Bert Thomas, Ann McInnis and Gloria Garrett will be your guides for this exploration of Nature’s Curiosities, taking you along meandrous trails through mature forests and windswept dunes.  Newcomers to Leelanau as well as seasoned local nature lovers should enjoy this hike.  The hike is about 1.5 miles, the trail moderate, and we will have you back in the parking lot by noon.
