Experience nature at night with a snowshoe walk on the DeYoung Natural Area by moonlight. Join docents Ed Ketterer and Karin Jacobson for a walk through woodlands, along a streamside, and up to a prominence for a view across the farmstead toward Traverse City. Along the way we’ll take time to experience the quiet and the night sky, which will be lit by a full moon. We’ll walk about a mile, following a gentle loop trail. Snowshoes or waterproof boots are recommended. Bring a headlamp or small flashlight if you have one. The walk will depart at 7:30 PM from the parking lot off Cherry Bend Road, near the barn and entrance to the TART trail.
