Kehl Lake Natural Area “Intelligence of Nature”

Saturday, August 28th | 10:00am

What happens when we take a walk in the woods?  For one, we talk less and hear more.  And if we could understand the language of the forest, what we would we learn and how would that affect our relationship with nature?  The forest is more than it seems.

On this hike into Kehl Lake Natural Area’s old forest we will touch on questions about the vast and mysterious complexity of this seemingly silent world.  Humans, like those who centuries ago visited and lived near Kehl Lake, began with a deep and essential connection to nature.  Did they know something we’ve forgotten?

Conservancy docents will accompany you on this mostly flat hike along forest trails beginning at 10 a. m.  Duration will be situationally dependent but figure on 1.5 to 2 hours on the trail, stopping now and then.  Capped at 20.
