Harvest: Wild Places is the second annual event hosted by the LC Collective, a group of young leaders passionate about Leelanau County. We formed in 2022 to engage the next generation in the vital work of the Leelanau Conservancy and to create inclusive opportunities to recreate, participate, and activate in Leelanau’s natural spaces.
Join us from 3-6 pm Saturday, October 14th at the historic DeYoung Farmhouse for a celebration of local art and music. 20% of all art sales will be donated to the Conservancy. Part of the event, including music and refreshments, will take place outdoors under a tent. Please dress for the weather.
The harvest season is transformative like no other. Protecting the abundance of natural beauty has always been on the forefront of the creative practice – there is such wisdom to be gained in giving it our attention. Featuring art curated by Alyssa Smith, “Wild Places” includes nine local artists, giving us their take through both 2D and 3D work on what it means to be a part of this wild Northern Michigan landscape.
