Where do Autumn’s rich colors come from? What do they have to do with photosynthesis? And how can a deeper understanding of nature’s rhythms help me increase my sense of peace and balance? We’ll explore this and more in the last Getting to Know Our Non-Human Neighbors walk.
The Krumweide trail was specially chosen for this experience. There, we’ll find beautiful foliage, gorgeous mushrooms (there’s a good chance we’ll find lion’s mane!), and a scenic ridge trail through the forest. This will also be a Mindfulness in Nature walk with time to walk quietly and sink into the peace and re-creational power of nature. Docent Gloria Garrett will be leading this hike.
Inclines are moderate to steep along this trail. A small backpack for your water bottle, etc is encouraged so you may walk with your hands free.
