Spring migration has begun, so bring your binoculars and let’s see what birds may be in the area in late April! We’ll keep a record on eBird and see if there are any surprises.
This natural area is one of the best sites in the county for observing bird migration in the spring, as it provides a safe haven and food before the long northward haul over water.
Weather can be a factor in April, so we will be mindful of that. The trail is mostly flat, with stairs down to the platform just above Lake Michigan.
