Connecting with Nature at Kehl Lake Natural Area

Join docents, Keith Rhodes, Bert Thomas and Cathy Stocker for a casual morning hike at the Kehl Lake Area. We will be sharing information at the beginning of the hike to inform you about this property and some of its history. Along the hike we will enjoy moments to listen to poetry and practice a mindfulness exercise to help us “connect to the land”. Once we reach the platform overlooking Lake, we will hear what is being learned about “plant intelligence” before making our way back on the trail. This hike is considered a flat easy walking trail that includes travel through a 1st growth pine forest and woodlands. The hike will move along at a casual pace with resting meditative moments along the trail.
