We will meet at the trailhead on M-22 and begin with a walk around the Orchard loop, where we’ll listen and look for birds. We’ll visit the old-growth trees and check out the new trees.
Then we’ll cross M-22 and visit the marsh and the beaver dam, continuing on to the beaver pond, where we will look for beaver activity and likely encounter more birds.
Chippewa Run is a unique place in that it’s on the migration corridor for birds, and has an active beaver population and lots of tree plantings. Bring your binoculars!
