Join us for a fun and educational birding adventure designed especially for students in grades 4–8! During this guided hike at Lighthouse West Natural Area, participants will explore local habitats while learning how to spot and identify a variety of bird species.
Students will discover how birds live and migrate, what makes different habitats unique, and how to use binoculars properly for the best viewing experience. Along the way, we’ll practice observation skills, listen for bird calls, and enjoy time outdoors in a hands-on learning environment.
This hike is perfect for curious young nature enthusiasts—no prior experience needed. Just bring comfortable walking shoes, water, and a sense of adventure! Binoculars for students will be provided. Spring is the beginning of tick season, so stay on trails and avoid tall grasses.
