One of the bittersweet signs of a Leelanau Autumn is the southbound migration of birds through the region—not as numerous and colorful as they were back in the Spring, but welcome nonetheless. On this gentle, docent-guided walk at Chippewa Run, we will look for avian migrants, help each other with identifications, and in any case, enjoy the good feel of a Fall walk. As always, wear sensible shoes, bring along a bottle of water and binoculars if you have them (and we have loaners if you don’t). Join Docents Keith Rhodes, David Watkins, Bert Thomas, Julie Kuieck and AmeriCorps member Tyler Lancaster for this lovely birding opportunity.
