A new fishing pier was installed on the west side of Elmwood Township’s Cedar Lake Thursday at the DeYoung Nature Center. Primary fisheries in the lake include yellow perch, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, northern pike, rock bass, and smelt, said Todd Kalish, fisheries biologist with the state Department of Natural Resources.
