I was born and raised in Bay City, Michigan and recently graduated from Central Michigan University with a BS in Environmental Studies. This is my second term of service as an AmeriCorps member. My first service term I spent the Summer of 2021 serving on a trail crew for the Montana Conservation Corps. I am thrilled to spend my second term as a Stewardship Technician for the Leelanau Conservancy. As a Michigan native I truly believe we live in one of the most beautiful states. The abundance of forests, lakes, rivers, and beaches makes this such a special place to be. Getting to help preserve the many natural areas that the Leelanau Peninsula is home to is such important work that I am excited to be a part of.
Outside of work you will find me, outside! Paddle boarding, backpacking, hiking, camping, enjoying a walk in the woods, hunting for rocks, or watching the sunset. I’m looking forward to becoming a part of the wonderful community here in Leelanau.
