Ride the Warbler Wave at Lighthouse West — Saturday May 14th at 8:00am

May 14th, 2016 at 8:00am — Lisa Meils-female pine warblerThe annual spring migration should be near its peak at the time of this hike. Lighthouse West serves as a focal point for waves of warblers and other birds that are on their way to Canada. Many other interesting birds, including the Scarlet Tanager and Indigo Bunting, have usually arrived and are nesting by this time. The main focus of this event is birding, but we’ll keep an eye out for spring wildflowers as well. Docents Ed Ketterer and Ann McInnis will be leading the group.
