Animal Evidence at Houdek Dunes — Saturday October 8th 10:00 am
Docents Ann McInnis, Jane Gale, and Beth Chiles invite you to explore with them the fall activities of plants and animals inhabiting this diverse 337 acre Natural Area. We’ll look for evidence of ever-shy bears, deer, coyotes, foxes, bunnies, even cougars, and much more which may give us clues to how life in the natural world survives, let along prepares for the upcoming Leelanau winter. What do plants and mushrooms do? Find out the role geology & weather have played in contributing to the diverse ecological communities currently found in this amazing Natural Area. We’ll generate questions… perhaps with no answers.
