For some poets, autumn is a glorious time of beginnings, full of grace and beauty. For others, it is a melancholy time of endings that foreshadow our own. Either way, this is an evocative season of change and transformation, a magical time for another Hike with a Poet. Join docents Cath Stocker, Karen Gros, and Bert Thomas for a meandering hike through the magnificent Houdek Dunes natural area accompanied by the voices of a variety of poets from across time and their autumnal songs of remembrance, praise, nostalgia, and wonder.
This will be an easy-paced hike with many stops along the way to share poems, observe the seasonal changes in our midst, and reflect on the transformational nature of this space where language and imagination meet the world.
