Looking for something to do in the middle of the week away from the crowd? How about a docent-guided hike through an old forest in the middle of nowhere? Kehl Lake Natural Area is like a journey into the past, before settlers arrived in Leelanau. Join naturalists Bert Thomas, Ann McInnis, and Sheen Watkins for a walk along its pine needle trails. We will share insights about nature, and if we’re really lucky, we will see Cardinal flowers or hear a loon. Are we looking at the forest or is the forest looking at us? Or both?
Let’s find out.
