Every Picture Tells a Story

Submitted by John Gessner on 5/5/12

I love listening to the waves crash – one, after another, after another – never-ending, eternal. It’s one of those things you can always count on in life. The Lake will always speak to you if you’re willing to listen. I want to hear the stories that she has tell – to understand where is coming from, and where she is going. Those of us that have sat upon her shores, watched the sun set over the horizon, and listened to the stories that she has to tell are changed forever. The Lake will always be special to me, and I hope that the photos I make will remind everyone of the times they’ve shared with her.

This is a scene from the northwest shore of the Leelanau Peninsula near the village of Northport taken by John Gessner.
