For many years I was lucky enough to have the Cranbrook property close to my home downstate. Walks there were always filled with discovery. I used to help with the wildflower sale every year and developed my own wildflower garden. Now I am learning to maintain old farm land in Omena. The conservancy properties are really amazing- whether standing under a blossoming cherry tree to hear the humming bees or getting the timing just right for the lady slippers at Houdek or happening upon a patch of morels in a secluded spot, every walk in Leelanau becomes an adventure. What a joy it is to share these moments with fellow conservationists.
